Geocache: Light pole hide in the Netherlands

I recently visited the US and found many hides under the skirt, also called light pole hides. I was already back in the Netherlands when one day after work to get more of the missing days into my calendar we went to find some geocaches in the area we found one which was under a lightpole. It was completely unexpected.

Skirts, like in the US are not used in the Netherlands to cover up the bottom of the light pole, so I wouldn't think of finding a geocache close to any light poles. I did not even see these type of light poles before. We visited the shopping center next to this light pole before and not only once, but never checked if there was any hides here. According to the geocache details this one is there since 2015, and two years later we spotted it. It is funny, but now we found it.

Not the best container as the logbook inside had water damage, and not from rain or so, simple the humidity could get into the container. I was also expecting this to be magnetic as many places they blow the tree leaves away and that could blow away this container easily. Ok, not many tree really close, so could be same.

The geocache is placed next to the new townhall, which we never went inside before as we live in the one on the other side of the river.

As you can see there is some water around the townhall, this is typical in the Netherland, there is so much water all over the country, most buildings are built on top of water to some level.

This day was really clouded but as we put two smileys on the map that made it a lot better. Before you think there is nothing more to see at this place, here is a small statue close to the geocache.

I could not find the title of this one ...
Poor guy, he lost lots of weight holding that position for such a long time. Not sure if you had to do similar excercise during elementary school on physical education lessons, but we did. Back in the days I was similarly skinny so it was no big deal for me, but for the bigger classmates it was already some challenge.

Geocache: Get the film out of the pipe

Now this is one of those geocaches that I heard of but never saw one personally till the day we were in Belgium on the road back to the Netherlands. It all started with let's stop at a geocache to avoid highway and then came look there is another one just a few meters down the road, and this was the one. Guess what we kept on going on with that serie as there were many cool hides out there. The film is ready to be caught ... When we turned on that dirt road and I spotted the geocache from the car I got so excited that I did not really pull down thinking who else would come this way. Geocache: Underground TB Hotel

New players mostly do not know what TB stands for and why are TB Hotels so cool and important. Let me start with the TB, that stands for Travel Bug, but in general all trackable items are referred by this abbreviation. TB Hotels are geocaches, mostly bigger ones in size where multiple TBs can lodge safely. Be aware that not all TB Hotels are equally safe, just like hotels, depending on their neighborhood they can be where you do not want to stay. When we arrived and read the hint it was trivial where to search, but when saw the entrance below I was not sure why is it a TB Hotel, the entrance itself was not too promising.
