This time I'm sharing another cool matrix you can try to fill, but before that let me show you one of the cool geocaches I came across just recently, while working on this matrix. The frog on the branch It is early spring here in the Netherlands and the trees and bushes are not covered with leaves, that was helping a lot. And the day came again... I was traveling through Germany and this time on a route I never took before. As it was not me driving I could not pick the stops but I was lucky enough that we stopped at a few places where I could search for a geocache. This was one of them. A magnetic film canister When I found it I was not sure why the magnet was needed, but I found some good use for it at least while I made this picture. On long trips along the autobahn and any other highways it is always good it you can stop to search for a geocache, that is a perfect reason to move a little bit, and in some cases it also make the stop more then jump out of the car turn left turn right stretch jump back and continue. On this trip as I was just a passanger and the driver was always in a rush and the only reason he was to stop was to smoke, that was limiting the search time to around 2 minutes and I had to pick go to the restroom, get a drink or find a geocache. Back when I was a child I always enjoyed reading; nowadays? there are so many other things to do and working mostly behind a screen my eyes are just not into reading. But finding a geocache, especially in a mini library, now that is what I enjoy. Here is the latest we found. The library that is free Mini libraries are common in some countries, in others they could be just shame on the bad people who would ruin them. I was recently travelling back from Hungary to the Netherlands  with a mini bus service and at one stop waiting for the filling station to open I saw there is a geocache I can walk to while we wait for openings time. I walked there, it was dark, and while walking in the cold I started reading the details to get ready. That was a mini library in a frontyard, in Germany. I was excited, but when I arrived to the coordinates I had to realize that at this time of the day it might not be the best idea to walk on their property and start searching. I was a bit disappoint...

Now this one is a very common hiding technic. I should have showed a few of these previously, but somehow I just found one yesterday and immediately I decided to share. Mostly I share finds a lot later to make it harder to trace back which hide it could be. Or wait a second... this blog is actually a blog with spoiler images... So here we go... See it? It is hiding under those branches If the hint already contains the fact that you need to search under some branches you should not have hard time finding the cache. So the thing is most geocachers I have met so far are humans and also lazy to some level, so when it is under something like small branches it will be covered with branches, but only to the point that it is barely visible. Humans do that with placing the object above in such a way that it is the least effort to put them there. Just look above, most are paralel, have you ever seen fallen branches just all around the place? Were they paralell? or placed close to each othe...

It is always fun to search for a geocache at locations where the view is just amazing. This time I was in Singapore for business. I had some time before I could start working and lucky for me there was a geocache at the beach walking distance from the warehouse. Hiding in the tree I walked to the location and as you can see above it was not much search to find the geocache, just in the tree really visible. I was more surprised that it was still there. The only people I saw at that time of the day at the beach were the people cleaning the beach, collecting the rubbish from all over. Who likes puppets? How about a museum full with them? somewhere in Taipei ... Unfortunately at the time I could go and search for the geocache the museum was already closed. Hanging out there While geocaching in Taiwan I learned a few things, one of them is that there are not too many geocachers in Taiwan, and even less who hides geocaches. Another important thing is that most people do not care that you are searching, not a single muggle ever asked or looked longer than a second to see what I'm after, not even when we were searching close to the police station, they also did not look like they know what we are up to. There is a place you grew up, and there are places there which you do not visit or at least not regularly. But what can be a better reason to stop at some of these places then a geocache? Now this ruin in Pécs is one of those places. The container with the view It was dark after a nice latte downtown with friends and coconut. As the hint was saying it is magnetic when we got to the place almost the whole team started searching at the most trivial place the fence which was steel. A better view with the container Of course it was not there, why would it be? As you can see the area was covered with some snow, just like the inside of the ruins. To get to this geocache I had to get off all the main roads. It was at the end of a small village, somewhere you would have no reason to drive to otherwise. Out if its hiding place The was this geocache was hidden is really nice. There was this electric pole left behind after putting a new line in place and it was behind a small rusty door hanging into a pipe. The hint was simple look for the gray wire. The road to nowhere??? As you can see this was a forgotten place, even the road leading to the village was already in such a bad condition that I felt sorry for my rental car, if it was my own car I would have driven super slow. Earlier I was blogging about some geocaches which could use a changing difficulty or terrain settings. This is also one of those geocaches. The geocache taken out of its hiding place... Yeah I know if you take a look at the geocache itself why would I say it is one of those geocaches which are hard to pick up on some days and no problem on other? So in the autumn, winter there is not a single muggle in the area, but in the summer I am sure they are all over the place. Parking is not a problem at this geocache ... ... not a problem at this time of the year, a huge parking lot and not a single car, but I'm sure there is hard to find a slot in the summer on a sunny day.
