Geocache: Bird house #5

One of my favorite hiding technic is hide a geocache in a bird house. This one I found in Tennessee while on the way to Jackson. A beautiful bird house, but not for birds To build a bird house you can find many instructions on the internet, and yet every time I find one it is different from the previous ones. I'm sure it was shiny when it was made and put out there. All those painting on it, it is one that deserves a favorite point for the work put into making the hiding place. I'm not always sure how people give their FAVOs away, I've see many beautifully done geocaches with many finds and only a few FAVOs. If I meed any hides where it is trivial that it was not just buying a plastic container putting a logbook in and placing it out there and I have available FAVOs I always give one to respect the CO. Hiding in there This bird house was placed next to a resting area along one of the busy highways in Tennessee. I love resting area geocaches, they give you a reas...

So far the coolest bird house, high up in the tree and a magnet is what you needed on the end of a stick, a long stick. The birdhouse with the magnet attached to the geocche As it might look simple it is if you have all the tools you need. The hint was clear you need a long enough stick with a magnet at the end. Of course we have one of those telescopic ones, but that is less than a meter long, so it is time to improvise. The geocache from below, hiding in the birdhouse We also have a magnet on a rope, where the rope is at least a few meters long, so that will do, but how do you get it up to the bird house? It is in the woods, and many broken branches are all around on the ground, so I just picked a longer one and attached my magnet with its rope to it and we had the tool we needed. A closer picture of the bird house As you can see it is a small bison capsule in the bottom of the bird house what needs to be pulled down. See the container? When we found this geoc...

Yesterday we went on a short trip in the Netherlands, the goal was to visit a castle, but of course on the way home we stopped to pick up some caches in the neighbourhood. This one was in a really nice area, in the woods, but I could call it a park and grab as all you had to do is walk about 20 meters no more. A bird house not visible from the street With the container in it With the container out while we signed the log
