Geocache: Mushroom

While out in a forest I like to take pictures of mushrooms. This time it was the geocahce, really visible, out in plain sight, but not from the path the muggles are walking on.

Are they real? or not?

Nice realistic ceramic mushroom nicely standing and hiding the geocache container under it. Some nettle already started to grow around it, I can only guess but from the end of the spring till the end of autumn there must be a lot more growing in the area and must be harder to get to it. Some good news to anyone visiting this cache is that on that day we walked this whole trail we meat 2 more geocachers doing the same trail, and we all saw a few logged same day before us, so there will be a nice pathway cut to the cache.

This cahce was a part of a trail with seven caches and a bonus which you got the coordinates from the previous seven. This was the first we found.

From a distance it is nicely visible as well.
I'd like to mention that this first hide from the serie was in a dog walking forest, which means many dogs all around and they are curious so they can and smell you and some might even jump on you, but most will have good owners and they will call them back as soon as they see that you are afraid of the dogs. The rest of the caches are outside of the dogs' territory.

I removed the mushroom, then on the end of
that stick there was a PET preform holding the log roll.
As they did not connect the petling to the mushroom they needed to make sure that the mushroom stands good and secure, so the long stick holds it in place.

The forest where the mushroom is hiding.
Had to wait a few minutes to get a muggle-free shot of the pathway.
Make sure you always check the satellite images
before you start walking as some of the areas migth be over the water.

As you can see on the above images spring has just arrived, green is taking over the forest, some flowers are also blooming by now, and there is water, that can give you some headache if the cache is just over on the other side and you just realised you did not cross at the bridge when it was there and now you need to walk back or try to jump (good luck with that).
